Lisa Blackman
MJ, Employment and Labor Law, Tulane Law School Class of 2023
Hello, my name is Lisa Blackman. I am a student in the Master of Jurisprudence in Labor and Employment Law at Tulane University Law School.

This is my last semester (Hooray!!). But I would say
when I began this journey I never imagine the knowledge I would acquire and the people I would meet. I came into this program expecting to learn the ends and out of a human resource director. Let me tell you, I got that and soooooo much more. My biggest take away from this program would definitely be the instructors. Tulane has the most amazing, caring, knowledgeable and compassionate instructor’s I have ever came in contact with. They understand the everyday life and that sometimes if assignments are not completed in a timely fashion, we will make sure it is completed. This program has taught me so much. Trying to transition from the Law Enforcement world of boots on the ground to being a successful HR manager, this program has prepared me. I would not be a better person as of today if it were not for the amazing instructors of this program. I have said that this is my last degree I will be obtaining, but if Tulane has something that will enhance the knowledge I have acquired so far, who knows I might be getting another degree.
