Dori Browne is the Human Resources Manager at a public school district in the suburbs of Chicago. Relatively new to the field, she took a circuitous path to HR after years of working in market research and received her PHR certification in 2018. At Glenview Public Schools, Dori found her niche, assisting employees, applying labor and employment law, preventing unfair labor practices, and interpreting Illinois school code.
Dori has a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology from Illinois Wesleyan University where she dabbled in neuroscience, biology, archaeology, and anthropology. She enrolled in the Master of Jurisprudence in Labor and Employment Law program at Tulane University to increase her knowledge of the legal framework, assist her current organization, and further her career.
