My MJ-LEL Journey

tboyce5

Welcome to my MJ-LEL adventure. My name is Tabitha K. Boyce. I currently work in Talent Aquisition for The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities. I am a first-generation graduate, and I am excited to share with you my arrival to the Tulane MJ-LEL program.

I started out in transportation and logistics when my children were very small working in warehouses moving products and providing last mile services to distribution centers. I have always been passionate about people and interested in the law, so it was no wonder that I found myself in Human Resources. After completing undergraduate studies in Organizational Leadership, I was looking for a program that would allow me to expand my knowledge in Human resources but would give me the legal knowledge to provide expertise to the modern company. I submitted and application and thought I would never get in. The day I received my acceptance to the program was probably one of the most exciting yet scariest moments of my life. I arrived at Immersion weekend thinking that I didn't belong, but I met some of the most amazing women that weekend that assured me that I was in the right place. It has been an adventure, but if I had to do it again, I wouldn't pick another program or city to begin my journey in.
